How we can help.

  • Lighting consultation shaped around the architecture, use and atmosphere of each space.

  • Selection and supply of decorative, technical and outdoor lighting.

  • Coordination of lighting installation with electrical infrastructure and controls.

Choose the light before the fitting.

Start with how people use the space, the surfaces you want to illuminate and the atmosphere you want to create. Then compare products against that brief.

  1. Give each light a purpose

Identify the light needed to move around, work or read, and highlight a feature. Mark furniture, work surfaces and focal points on the plan so that general light and accents have a clear role.

  2. Review comfort and appearance

Consider where the light falls and what people see from seated and standing positions. Compare beam distribution, glare control, colour temperature and colour rendering alongside the shape and finish of the fitting.

  3. Coordinate installation and controls

Confirm mounting space, power supplies and access for maintenance. If dimming or scenes are required, agree the control method before ordering and check the selected fitting and driver against the manufacturer's documentation.

Bring to the first discussion

  • Room dimensions, ceiling heights and a furniture layout.
  • Photos or references for finishes and the atmosphere you prefer.
  • Existing light fittings and any planned control system.
  • Your budget range, installation stage and timetable.

Questions before choosing lighting

How do decorative and architectural lighting work together?

A decorative fitting can be a visible feature, while the wider lighting design considers how the whole space is illuminated. Plan pendants, task lighting and architectural accents together so their positions and roles support the room.

How many light fittings will a room need?

The answer depends on the room layout, mounting height, surface finishes, the light distribution of each product and the activities taking place. A layout and suitable product data are needed before settling on quantities.

Can any LED fitting be dimmed?

Do not assume that it can. The fitting, its driver and the control method need to support dimming together. Check the manufacturer's specification for the exact model and agree the required behaviour before ordering.

When should lighting planning begin?

Begin while layouts and electrical plans can still be coordinated. Furniture positions, ceiling details, cable routes and control points affect the selection and placement of fittings. For an existing space, bring photographs and measurements to the first discussion.
